Caught you at the benefit tonight, Jan. 14th @ Bloomingburg Firehouse.
Music brought back a lot of memories for me. My former husband, Slim Rasco, got me out of my shell singing in front of people. He had his own band, Slim Rasco and the Swinging Doors. I used to sing with them, "I Still Miss Someone" by Johnny Cash, & "I Fall To Pieces", and "Crazy" by Patsy Cline were my staple songs. Slim gave me the confidence to sing in front of people. That was over 20 years ago. I am now a Worship Leader Singer at Goodwill Church in Montgomery, NY. I sing in front of about 1000 members per week. My name is Doreen, and my husband asked if I could sing a song for the person who the benefit was for. I understand though, that it may not be in the best interest of the band to call just anyone up from the audience to sing, but I wanted to assure you, I am able to and would have loved to sing "Crazy" with you. I am more of a Linda Ronstadt version of these song as I a was introduced to them by her. May God bless you and if you ever are inclined to hear me, I am on the Worship Team at Goodwill, Jan. 21st & 22nd as well as Feb. 18th & 19th. If you find yourself there, come up and see me after the service. It is always a blessing being amongst other musicians! All the best to you, Doreen
